Cameroon vice prime minister’s wife was kidnapped in a Boko Haram attack that also killed at least 3 people. The attack took place on the vice prime minister’s home in Kolofata.
According to an official statement by Cameroon’s government spokesman and information minister spokesman, the attack also saw the kidnapping of Seini Boukar Lamine, a local religious leader, locally known as a lamido.
According to spokesman Issa Tchiroma:
“I can confirm that the home of vice prime minister Amadou Ali in Kolofata came under a savage attack from Boko Haram militants. They unfortunately took away his wife. They also attacked the lamido’s residence and he was also kidnapped.”
Nothing is known at the moment about what happened with those kidnapped. It is expected that they are not harmed and some sort of ransom demand should appear in the near future.
