Authorities in Los Angeles are searching for a motorist that crashed straight into 3 teenage girls that were out trick-or-treating in Halloween costumes. Fatal injuries were caused and the motorist fled the scene.
The girls were 13, including 2 sisters. They were on a crosswalk near a Santa Ana elementary school. According to fire and police officials, an SUV carrying 2 men hit them at around 6:45 pm. 2 of the girls died on impact and the 3 one died while the paramedics tried to take her to the hospital. The name of the girls was not yet released.
The police is now looking for 2 men from the SUV that hit the girls, as mentioned by police Chief Carlos Rojas. It was reported that the SUV was found near the scene, abandoned.
According to Anthony Bertagna, police spokesman, the SUV was travelling at high speeds as the crash happened.
On Friday night we also saw another accident when a car hit a 20 year old woman and 2 seven year old girls, while trick or treating in Vancouver. It was reported that a car had jumped the curb and hit the group of 3. However, in this case the driver remained at the scene.
As police is looking for information, you can contact the authorities in the area if you have any information that can lead to the arrest of the 2 men feeling the accident scene.
