Connecticut authorities are currently investigating a threat against President Obama, according to local media. A statement was issued by the US Secret Service.

“Information has been received by law enforcement regarding a potentially suspicious person and vehicle. We are working with our local law enforcement partners to determine the validity of the information provided.
According to The Hartford Courant, state police is looking for a man that made a threat against Barack Obama and is driving a Volkswagen Jetta, silver.
The US President was scheduled for a visit to Rhode Island for a fundraiser of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. No extra details about the potentially increase of security have been released.
