The body of a little girl in a black trash bag was found on the shorelines of Deer Island, east of Boston’s Logan Airport on June 25. She was wearing polka dot leggings and wrapped with a zebra-print blanket. Police do not know when she died.
The girl is now being referred to as Baby Doe. Although her body had begun to decompose, police were able to create a computer-generated image of what she looked like before she died.
The resulting CG image is heartbreaking and has had a profound effect on those who saw it. Millions have been moved as the picture spreads on social media.
Forensic experts confirmed that the body did not suffer any trauma and are currently performing toxicology tests to determine if the little girl had been drugged or poisoned.
