FC Barcelona made it official. They offer £40 million for Luis Suarez. However, the contract can only be signed if the soccer player agrees to a “Bite Clause”.
After Luis Suarez was banned for a record 4 months for all soccer by FIFA because of the fact that he bit Georgio Chiellini during the Uruguay vs Italy match, Barcelona want to make sure that they will not be in trouble because of how the player behaves.
According to sources inside the club, the £160,000 per week deal would only be offered in the event that the player behaves well.
While the inclusion of the Bite Clause is not going to be a problem, Liverpool is currently not agreeing with the deal as it demands £80 million for Suarez. Barcelona countered with the addition of Alexis Sanchez and £50 million total.
It was also added that FC Barcelona will have Suarez’s back as he tries to have the ban reduced or eliminated. Rumors have it that Juan De Dios Crespo, a sporting case specialist, might be hired by the Uruguayan star.
