The Israeli military attacked over 6 militant targets on Sunday. The attacks on the Gaza Strip took place a few hours after rockets launched from Palestinian territory hit an Israeli factory. The incidents were confirmed by both Palestinian and Israeli officials.
During the attack of the Israeli factory, 3 people were injured. In the following air strikes 2 people were wounded.
According to Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister:
“Over the weekend, the Israel Defense Forces attacked multiple targets in response to firing at Israel from the Gaza Strip. We are ready to expand this operation, if necessary.”
According to Palestinian officials, the air strikes attacked sites that were controlled by Hamas.
Israeli military officials declared that from the start of June, 60 rockets were fired towards Israel by Gaza Strip militants. The attacks caused only a few injuries.
