Although Luis Suarez is faced with a 4 months soccer ban after biting in a World Cup 2014 game, he did get his dream contract as he and the FC Barcelona side agreed to a deal. The striker now has a chance to completely rehabilitate his image.
The following week Luis Suarez will go to the FC Barcelona camp to go through a medical check-up and then sign a 5 years contract. In an official statement, Suarez said:
“It is with a heavy heart that I leave Liverpool for a new life and new challenges in Spain…playing and living in Spain, where my wife’s family live, is a lifelong dream and ambition. I believe now the timing is right.”
Luis Suarez is not allowed to play in a soccer game until October ends. Although he did appeal against the suspension, the ban still stays.
What may be damaging for Barcelona is that Suarez is also not allowed to train with the Barcelona side while the ban is active. However, once the ban lifts, the soccer club will have access to a formidable attacking line that includes Oscar Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.
Liverpool declared in an official statement:
“We would like to thank Luis for his contribution and the role he played in helping brings Champions League football back to Anfield.”
