A young Mexican singer rising to fame with songs about life in the violence-ridden state of Sinaloa was killed in a car crash early on Wednesday.
Mexican singer Ariel Camacho, aged 22, had performed at a concert as a guest act in his home state Sinaloa. After the concert, Ariel Camacho boarded a vehicle with four other people. It is not clear who was driving.
Mexican police said the vehicle was speeding before it skidded off the highway and crashed into a drainage ditch.
Camacho and two other people were killed. Two other occupants were critically wounded.
